Becky Conces, Consultant
25+ years of diverse experience in the food and beverage industry brought right to your doorstep
Quality assurance is my jam, but I also provide support in other areas such as certification achievement, regulatory compliance, food safety, shelf life studies, export documentation, retailer set-up paperwork, packaging claims, nutrition panel development, product scale-up and R&D. I’m a certified Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI), Internal auditor as well as an SQF Practitioner. Other certifications include HACCP, Food Defense, Food Safety Culture, AIB Nutritional Analysis, FSMA Preventive Controls for Human Food and Foreign Supply Verification (FSVP). My specialty is quality assurance systems for brands that outsource manufacturing (co-manufacturers, co-packers), but my extensive work in and with manufacturing companies provides me with an understanding of challenges met by both the brand and the manufacturer. I have had the pleasure to work in a range of industries including flavors, fragrances, fresh produce, pharmaceutical, and ready to eat products. Extensive training, coupled with 3rd Party and supplier audit experience, has prepared me to be a value-added consultant. Starting new programs, revamping existing ones, implementing key regulatory requirements and enhancing FSQA programs is what I absolutely love. I started my career as a lab technician within Quality Assurance and R&D departments for large global name brands in the beverage industry. I gained experience and worked my way up into Quality Assurance Management positions in various food and beverage sectors. I've worked with a wide range of products from high-risk ready-to-eat, frozen foods, juice, and wholesale produce. I hold multiple certifications including Lead Auditor, Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI), Pesticide Supervisor and Applicator Licenses, HACCP, Supplier Verification, and Food Defense. I’ve worked closely with an array of customers within the retail, co-manufacturing, distribution, and restaurant industries. My passion lies with implementing and improving the food safety, culture, and quality programs within companies while also elevating their regulatory and 3rd party audits.
